Porquerolles

The island of Porquerolles is the largest of the three "îles d'or" with an area of 12,54 square kilometers.

The IGESA center

The workshop will be held at the IGESA, where accomodation will be provided to the participants. It is located 5mn away by foot from the pier, at the outskirts of the island's only village.

Accommodation

We have booked 24 single rooms and 16 double rooms at the IGESA, these include full board.

How to get to Porquerolles

One has to keep in mind that Porquerolles is an Island and that taking the boat from "La tour fondue" (20mn ride) is the only way to get to the Island (apart from swimming of course). (Check here for schedules and fare, then choose “Tour Fondue/Porquerolles”).


The conference starts on Monday September 14, morning, which means arriving at Porquerolles on Sunday afternoon having in mind that THE LAST BOAT LEAVES AT 6:30 pm. There will be no talks on Friday (September 18) afternoon and it will be possible to leave the Island before lunch with the 10:30 am boat.

How to get to "La tour fondue" by train

Toulon is the closest train station, and we will organize bus transportation to "La tour fondue" on Sunday 13th afternoon (conference bus leaves at 3:30pm), as well as for the way back, on Friday 18th at 10:50am. Check train schedule here.

How to get to "La tour fondue" by plane

Toulon-Hyères aiport is only a few kilometers from "La tour fondue". You may also fly to Marseilles, than take the train to Toulon and get the conference bus.
